SkyWay Charity has worked alongside children, young people and communities in some of London’s most disadvantaged neighbourhoods for over 20 years. We support young people aged 6–25 who can face significant barriers to fulfilling their potential, including poverty, exclusion from education, poor physical and mental health, unemployment, and exposure to violence, exploitation and unsafe peer networks. By reaching young people early and building relationships based on trust, we help prevent these challenges from escalating and enable young people to make positive choices about their lives.

Our youth workers are consistent, trusted adults who can make a real difference in a young person’s life. Through youth clubs, mentoring, sport, health and wellbeing activities, education and employment support, we create safe spaces where young people can build confidence, resilience, practical life skills and aspirations for their future. We are delighted to be supported by the William Wates Memorial Trust, whose core funding gives us greater stability and flexibility to respond to the changing needs of young people and invest in the relationships that make lasting change possible. We see this as the beginning of a valued partnership, built around our shared commitment to helping young people overcome disadvantage, stay engaged in education and build safer, healthier and more positive futures.

The Trust has awarded a grant of £12,500 pa over 2 yrs to support core funding
