The Ben Kinsella Trust was established following the tragic murder of Ben Kinsella in 2008, with a clear mission to prevent knife crime through education and campaigning. Its vision is a society free of knife crime, where no family or community suffers the loss of a life to violence, and it is guided by the belief that prevention and early intervention are essential to lasting change.
The Trust delivers its work primarily by educating and empowering young people through award‑winning, trauma‑informed programmes such as its Choices and Consequences exhibitions and workshops, which use immersive, real‑life stories to show the direct link between choices and outcomes and to challenge myths around carrying knives for protection.
Alongside this, the Trust equips teachers, youth workers, parents and practitioners with high‑quality resources and training, and campaigns nationally to raise awareness, amplify young people's voices, and influence policy, ensuring that knife‑crime prevention reaches young people both inside and beyond the classroom.

The Grant from WWMT is for £45,000 over three years to help fund 55 anti-knife crime workshops in London for up to 1,650 young people aged 10-16. These workshops are part of the Ben Kinsella Trust's plan to run 1,650 workshops in total in London over the next 3 years costing £759,000.
