StreetDoctors is a movement of young healthcare volunteers who train young people how to save the life of someone who has been stabbed or knocked out. Our peer-to-peer training inspires young people to become ‘street doctors’, who will step forward at the scene of an emergency using lifesaving first aid skills.

StreetDoctors works across the country in the areas where street violence is most prevalent, with teams of local volunteers training thousands of young people every year in partnership with schools, youth clubs, criminal justice institutions, sports programmes, and community groups.

Through interactive sessions with healthcare volunteers, young people learn about the medical and psychological consequences of violence, and empower themselves with new skills and confidence to act in an emergency. With StreetDoctors, young people become part of the solution to violence, rather than being seen as ‘part of the problem’.
