Sister System’s mission is to bridge the gap between care-affected girls and mainstream society, by working alongside them to ensure they have the same opportunities everyone else has – at home, school, work and within our communities.
As the only frontline organisation in London working in this area, SS supports 98% BAME girls/young women aged 13-24 who are affected by the care system. Embedding lived experience, SS delivers co-curated programmes to overcome trauma and build resilience. Through therapeutic mentoring, peer2peer mentoring, aspirational accredited workshops and qualifications, career coaching and a community of sisters, SS embeds essential skills, tools and strategies to raise mental wellness, forge pathways to education and employment and enable a life free from abuse.
