The Children’s Literacy Charity is a specialist, high impact literacy intervention working to close the literacy gap for children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Working in primary schools in areas of deprivation, our expert tutors unlock the potential of children who can be up to two years behind where they should be, not just with reading but with all the important literacy skills: writing, comprehension, listening and speaking, helping them to catch up with their peers and become confident and resilient learners.
WWMT have donated the significant sum of £55,000 over 3 years. This funding will enable the delivery of over 10,000 1:1 and small group tuition sessions across the Literacy Lab and Reading Lab programmes, working with existing and new partner schools.
