Only Connect exists to help ex-offenders live crime-free lives: our overarching goals are to reduce re-offending and increase the opportunities, dignity and regard of one of the most marginalized groups in society. We believe four aspects are crucial in rehabilitation: strong relationships with our key workers, providing opportunities for creativity, finding meaningful employment and strengthening family relationships.
Our aim is to guide our members towards their chosen path (education, training or employment). We strongly believe in treating people with kindness, focusing on their strengths, aspirations and needs, whilst ensuring that we do not encroach upon their own autonomy: we want to give a handshake, not a handout.
