Pilton Youth and Children’s project (PYCP) is based in West Pilton, in Forth Ward, Edinburgh.
The charity was put forward by Tracy Norris from our Tour de Force office who lives in Edinburgh. PYCP provide a range of services and activities for ages 5 to 18, ranging from open access youth clubs to tailored 1:1 and group based support for young people in need. WWMT is supporting Project FACE North which aims to deliver a new, varied and needs-led programme to an identified group of young people aged 11-24 years who are in the early stages of youth crime and are at risk of social exclusion.
The aim is to support these young people to reach their full potential. Referrals are mainly from the police, community safety, schools, social work and family. Sessions are based around building a relationship with young people to tackle this offending behaviour/encourage them to take part in more positive activities in their local community.
WWMT is supporting the project for 3 years.
