Founded in Somerset in 2012 after the 2011 England Riots, Key4Life’s mission is to break the cycle of (re-)offending amongst young males aged 18-25, who have some of the highest rates of re-offending and lowest chances of securing employment if they receive a custodial sentence. Since its inception, Key4Life has grown considerably, and now delivers programmes in Bristol and London to young people aged 10-25 who are at risk of offending or soon to be released from prison. Key4Life has supported over 250 young people and trained 300 volunteer Mentors. Key4Life delivers a 12-month prison rehabilitation programme and a 6-month preventative community-based ‘At Risk’ programme.
